Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information TestMeMan collects when you use testmeman.in, exams.testmeman.in and campus.testmeman.in (together, “TestMeMan”, “we”, “us”), how we use it, and the choices you have. TestMeMan is operated by [Registered business name], [Registered business address].

Information you give us

• Account details. When you sign up we store your name and email address. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email address from Google. Passwords are handled by our authentication provider and are never stored by us in readable form.
• Profile and test activity. Your chosen avatar, the tests and questions you attempt, your answers, scores, ranks and progress, so we can show results, leaderboards and analytics.
• Payments. If you buy a pass, payment is processed by Razorpay. Your card, UPI or bank details go directly to Razorpay; we receive only the order and payment IDs, the amount and whether the payment succeeded.
• Messages. If you email us, we keep the message and your email address so we can reply.

Information collected automatically

• Analytics. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views and measure page performance. It does not use cookies and does not track you across other websites.
• Server logs. Like most websites, our hosting providers record technical information such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to keep the service secure and working.
• Proctored tests. Some assessments run in full screen and record integrity events such as leaving full screen or switching tabs. Where a test asks for camera access, face detection runs in your browser; a summary of integrity events, and for some tests a small number of snapshots, may be kept with your attempt and shown to whoever set that test. Camera access is only requested for those tests, and you can refuse it in your browser.

Advertising

Article pages on TestMeMan show ads served by Google AdSense. Other parts of the site do not load the AdSense script.

• Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website and other websites.
• Google’s use of advertising cookies, including the DoubleClick cookie, enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to TestMeMan and/or other sites on the internet.
• You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalised advertising at www.aboutads.info.

Article pages also have an ad-free reading mode; your choice is remembered in your browser.

Cookies and browser storage

We use a small number of first-party cookies and your browser’s local storage to make the site work:

Sign-in

• Your sign-in session from our authentication provider, Supabase, is stored in a cookie on .testmeman.in (split into several cookies when it is large) so you stay signed in across testmeman.in, exams.testmeman.in and campus.testmeman.in. A copy is kept in local storage as a fallback. These are removed when you sign out.
• A copy of your basic profile (name, email, avatar) in local storage, so pages load without waiting for the server.
• In session storage, the page to return to after you sign in.

Preferences and progress

• Your theme (light or dark), the product you last used, and the ad-free reading choice on articles.
• Test progress and results saved on your device: answers in progress, timers, bookmarks, mastered questions, completed articles, Campus practice progress, active passes, and scores waiting to be synced to your account.
• For live quizzes as a guest, a random guest ID and the display name you chose.

Third-party cookies are set only by Google on article pages (see Advertising above) and by Razorpay when you open its payment window. You can block or delete cookies and site data in your browser settings; if you block the sign-in cookies, you will not be able to stay signed in.

How we use information

• To run your account, tests, results, leaderboards and passes.
• To process payments and give access to what you bought.
• To keep tests fair and the service secure, and to prevent abuse.
• To understand which pages are used and improve them.
• To reply to your messages and send essential service emails, such as sign-up confirmation or password reset.

We do not sell your personal information.

Who we share it with

• Supabase (authentication and database), Cloudflare (hosting, security and analytics) and Razorpay (payments), which process data on our behalf to provide the service.
• Google, for sign-in with Google if you choose it, and for ads on article pages as described above.
• For hiring and campus assessments, the organisation that invited you sees your results for that assessment.
• Your display name, avatar and scores appear on public leaderboards.
• Authorities, where we are required to by law.

How long we keep it

We keep your account information while your account is active. When you ask us to delete your account, we delete or anonymise your personal information, except where we need to keep records such as payment records for legal or accounting reasons.

Your choices

• You can view and update your profile in your account settings.
• You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, or to delete your account by emailing support@testmeman.in.
• You can opt out of personalised ads as described above, and clear cookies and site data in your browser at any time.

Children

TestMeMan is meant for students preparing for exams and placements. If you are under 18, please use TestMeMan with the permission of a parent or guardian. If you believe a child has given us personal information without that permission, contact us and we will delete it.

Security

Data is sent over HTTPS, and access to our database is restricted. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
